2010 International Summer Intensive Kicks Off
We have received exemplary enthusiasm for our 2010 International Summer Intensive program which
kicked off on Monday July 12, 2010. We were delighted to see the outpour of interest in the program and
the many last minute registrations that came in. Our instructors are well experienced and ready to
provide the necessary guidance to ensure much is accomplished in the weeks ahead. We are excited to
have them share their summer hours with us and we look forward to spending time with all of the
students through till August 14th, 2010.

2010 Performance Intensive Workshop Summary
On June 17th, 18th & 19th 2010
The 2010 Performance Intensive Workshop was a huge
success with students learning the skills needed to excel in a
professional dance environment. Students were taught to do
professional makeup and hair techniques, characterization
and performance quality and presentation. The workshop
also allowed students to explore a variety of dance styles
including musical theatre and Folkloric dance along with
different styles of ballet.
The two week workshop culminated in a demonstration day
with students sharing their achievements and learning with
parents and members of the community. Students who
attended the workshop were recognized for their efforts
with certificates.
A special thank you to our guest teachers: Peter Boal,
Nikolay Levitsky, Peter Jorgensen, Diana Kaarina and
Stephana Arnold for all of their hard work.

Junior school allowing for a rare and important mentorship opportunity.
For some of the Youth Company dancers, this would be their final performance with the Goh Ballet. Reid
Cuming, a recent graduate stated, "As the June show approached, my final performance at the Goh, I found
myself looking back at the past five years and the time I spent at the Goh Ballet Academy. The world class
training, and opportunities I received and the many friends I made, I will value for the rest of my life. I wish
to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Mr, and Mrs. Goh, Ms. Chan and the Goh ballet faculty for all you
have given me and best wishes to all the students". Good luck to all graduates and congratulations to the
younger dancers who experienced performance for the first time.
