106th CHICAGO YACHT CLUB RACE TO MACKINAC: Harbor Listings
A few overall tips on the return trip:
Many boats leave on Wednesday morning. If time permits, consider departing at an alternate time, to help reduce congestion during the trip home. Remember, you
MUST depart the harbor at Mackinac Island or St. Ignace or Straits Harbor no later than noon eastern time on Wednesday. If you intend to stay later than that, you
must make separate arrangements directly with the Harbor.
1. Always call the marina of your intended destination prior to arrival to ensure that their facility will suit your needs. Although we have done our best to
provide relevant information for each harbor, we may have missed some amenities or other pertinent information. If you find an error or discover additional
information that should be included for next year, please e-mail us at [email protected].
2. Always consult charts, notices to mariners, and other relevant navigational resources. We strongly suggest you pay particular attention to water levels in
each harbor, as lake levels vary year to year. The information here is based on the best information we have, but you should always verify it with official
governmental sources like NOAA charts and the US Coast Pilot. For additional information, please reference www.cycracetomackinac.com.
