An Act Relating to the Holding by Percy Raymund Smith,
a Member of the Legislative Assembly, of certain
Offices in the Royal Australian Air Force
[ASSENTED TO 4TH SEPTEMBER, 1964)
BE IT ENACTED by the Queen ' s Most Excellent Majesty, by and
with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same , as follows:1. Short title. This Act may be cited as " The Percy Raymund
Smith Declaratory Act of 1964."
2. Membership of Legislative Assembly. So far as relates to the
holding by the said Percy Raymund Smith, and whether before, or after,
or partly before and partly after the passing of this Act, of the offices
of Acting Judge Advocate General, Deputy Judge Advocate General,
or Judge Advocate General of the Royal Australian Air Force, it is
hereby declared(a) that section five of " The Officials in Parliament Acts, 1896 to
1964," does not apply and never has applied; and

(b) that the said Percy Raymund Smith is not and never has been
at any time incapable of being elected a member of the
Legislative Assembly or of sitting and voting therein by virtue
of, at the time in question , holding or having held any of the
aforesaid offices or of receiving or having received the profits
attaching to the holding of any of those offices.
