Morris, Jr. and FDFI Co-Founder Robert Benz with U.S. Representative John Lewis (D-GA)(invited). Special guests: Students from the Washington, D.C. Latin Public Charter School To honor Frederick Douglass’s 200th birthday on February 14, 2018, FDFI is publishing a Bicentennial Edition of his first autobiography, Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass: An American Slave. FDFI will print one million hardcover copies of the Narrative and give them to young people all across the country. FDFI will then work with readers to create service projects to address social justice issues in their communities - one million young people working toward equality in the spirit of Frederick Douglass. Join us as we engage students in a conversation around issues of Race, Equality and Restorative Justice and unveil the special Bicentennial Edition of the Narrative to the public for the first time.
