To honor Frederick Douglass’s 200th birthday on February 14, 2018, FDFI is publishing a Bicentennial Edition of his
first autobiography, Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass: An American Slave. FDFI will print one million hardcover
copies of the Narrative and give them to young people all across the country. FDFI will then work with readers to create
service projects to address social justice issues in their communities - one million young people working toward equality
in the spirit of Frederick Douglass.
Join us as we engage students in a conversation around issues of
Race, Equality and Restorative Justice and
unveil the special Bicentennial Edition of the Narrative to the public for the first time.
