Students recognized Sumerian advances in farming and other innovations. We discussed the Sumerian monarchy and bureaucracy. Students identified the Sumerian social class. For the week ahead, we will complete Civilization in Sumer by recognizing the difference in the lives of Sumerian men and women. Pupils will explore the concept of ‘fitness for purpose’ when using images, text, colour and sound to enhance their presentation. They will consider how to match and adapt their presentation to a given audience and purpose. Finally, they will evaluate the suitability of their work for different audiences and purposes. Many army officers came to honor the role of the Martyr Mohamed Gamal (Hana Gamal’s father 2E and Youssef Gamal KG2).
