Mission
The organization’s mission is to help bring comfort and joy by reaching out to hurt and broken women with the
truth of God’s love and thereby free them from substance addiction. The Called and Chosen Rehabilitation
Program will provide a secure, supportive, and nurturing environment for women working to defeat their
addictions and learn life-skills. It’s unique, individual approach, coupled with proven-successful counseling
models and spiritual base make CCRP a valuable resource for women struggling with addiction
Background
Called and Chosen Women’s Support Group Outreach Ministry was founded by Karol Howard in 2003. This
organization was birthed out of Karol’s passion for supporting women who are battling drug and alcohol
addiction. She was raised in a home where drug addiction was rampant, and she has dedicated her life to
helping women kick addiction using the power of Christian faith. Karol founded the Called and Chosen Ministry
as a support group for women who struggled against the temptation of drugs and alcohol. In June 2006, she felt
called to expand her ministry with a residential rehabilitation program. Thus, the Called and Chosen
Rehabilitation Program (CCRP) was conceived. This program will be a three month, residential program which
will emphasize individual and group counseling, workshops and workbooks, the seven-step confession, and a
strictly structured environment.
Impact
According to Drug-Rehab.Org, the Called and Chosen Rehabilitation Program is offering four of the six most
effective methods of rehabilitation. It is combining aspects of “in patient care,” “halfway houses,” “counseling,”
and “after care meetings” in its programs. In patient treatment will provide CCRP clients with, “a place of hope
and rejuvenation, a place where miracles happen and lives begin to make sense again.” It will also provide the
services of a halfway house by building on the foundation that some of their clients may have built in previous
treatment facilities. Like a halfway house, the CCRP residence will provide structure, and “a carefully planned
program of challenges and growth experiences the goal of which is lasting, satisfying recovery.” DrugRehab.Org also states that, “Counseling (individual and/or group) and other behavioral therapies are critical
components of effective treatment of addiction.” CCRP will provide its clients with daily individual and group
counseling sessions. The fourth aspect of successful addiction treatment is after-care support meetings . The
Institute for Substance Abuse Treatment Evaluation found that participation in after-care and support groups
had a positive effect on clients’ abstinence rates. “Almost three-fourths (73.9%) of after-care participants
remained abstinent following treatment, whereas 63.9% of those not participating remained abstinent. ” For this
reason, CCRP clients will be strongly encouraged to participate in the Called and Chosen Women’s Support
Group meetings after their residential treatment has ended.

Board Chair Statement
The Called and Chosen Rehabilitation Program will also have a group of set rewards in place for success within
the program. There will be first and second month recognitions and awards for the being clean. Completion of
the third month will conclude with a graduation ceremony each graduate will receive a certificate of completion
of the 12 week rehabilitation program, and a chance for each graduate to share their success stories. Graduates
will also be awarded a permanent position with Howard Building Service, and those in need will receive
assistance with finding residency.
CEO Statement
Our rehabilitation program is a biblically-based, substance abuse rehabilitation program which will provide jobs
and residency with one-on-one counseling and group support, rehabilitation workshops and seminars, life-skills
training, and structure which serves women in Nashville, TN and its surrounding areas. All clients will be
required to keep a daily journal as part of their treatment. Jeremiah 30:2 states, “This is what the LORD, the
God of Israel, says: 'Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you. ” CCRP believes that keeping a journal
acts as a reminder of God’s promises (just as it did for Jeremiah), while charting the clients’ progress toward
permanent sobriety. Journaling is a healthy outlet of self-expression and can be a gratifying and selfempowering daily exercise. Included in their journaling, clients will be required to write their “life story,” develop
a relapse plan, and compose a goodbye letter to their addiction. Upon completion of the program, graduates will
have a detailed 90 day journal of their experiences and gains upon which to reference during life’s difficulties,
and they will also have the habit of journaling instilled in them which will continue to serve them after their
graduation. Every morning the clients will recite the seven-step confession. The Bible teaches, “That if you
confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will
be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses,
resulting in salvation.

Called and Chosen Rehabilitation Program
Description
This program will be a three month, residential program which will
emphasize individual and group counseling, workshops and workbooks,
the seven-step confession, and a strictly structured environment.
Tennessee has a significant amount of substance abuse. Bordering eight
different states, it is uniquely suited to drug trafficking and distribution.
Tennessee is one of the three states in the union producing the most
domestically grown marijuana, and in 2005 it accounted for 75% of the
methamphetamine lab seizures in the Southeast . The state needs
programs like the CCRP to combat the prolific availability and
consumption of illicit and prescription drugs. The Called and Chosen
Rehabilitation Program will provide a secure, supportive, and nurturing
environment for women working to defeat their addictions and learn lifeskills. It’s unique, individual approach, coupled with proven-successful
counseling models and spiritual base make CCRP a valuable resource.

CEO Comments
The Called and Chosen Rehabilitation Program’s success will be measured by: • the change in the client’s life,
and the progress she has made during the rehabilitation period • the client’s ability to be trusted to live in society
again while remaining free from substance abuse and addiction CCRP fully expects all clients of their program
to graduate, as they are only accepting those clients who are 100% committed to change. Participation of the
rehab’s graduates in the C & C Women’s Support Group’s monthly meetings will also testify to the program’s
long-term success. Graduates of the program will emerge from their three month rehabilitation into a community
of women with similar life experiences who will support them in their journey of living substance abuse free. This
community support coupled with the practices and skills learned in the program will ensure the client’s life-long
success.
