A Message from your
PTA President
Dear Parents:
This year has flown by with great things happening everywhere. Johnny learned to tie his shoes, Gladys
learned to zip her jacket, 5th graders are ready to move into another chapter of their lives, 4th graders are
ready to be the BIG SHOTS on campus, teachers are celebrating FCAT is over, and the school clinic has
enough band aids for the rest of the year! The school carnival was a huge success thanks to our hard working 5th graders, family events were a success thanks to our volunteers, students have grown socially, as well
as academically, thanks to our staff, and your children have ALWAYS been safe on our Pasadena campus.
Though there are great teachers and staff members in every school, your choice to come to Pasadena has
awarded you an 'entire body' of dedicated individuals who believe in the power of children, who see endless
potential in every child and who believe they can make a difference to children. When you think of the alternatives that other schools deal with every day, you need to hug your child and say: "I am so glad we are at
Pasadena.” On behalf of the entire Pasadena Staff, the 2013-14 PTA Board and the children at Pasadena, we
would like to express our gratitude for your generosity, the endless hours of volunteer time shared, and our
respect for modeling the importance of reaching out to others in our community service projects. We all
are in this, together, for one reason…to help guide and mold young minds into productive individuals and
the leaders of tomorrow. Thank you for caring! Be safe and NO texting while driving:

Skating Parties
Update!
Thank you to all of the parents for your supporting the
school Skating Party! Our
school benefits $1.00 per ticket sold, making the school
around $750.00 this year!
The children and parents who
attended the party had lots of
fun. Next year we hope to see
more students attending the
Skating Parties! Have a fabulous summer. -Erica Geiger

POOL PARTY / SOCIAL!
Friday, May 16th 6:30-8:30 pm
St. Pete Beach Recreation Center
The St. Pete Beach Recreation Center is
just over the Corey Causeway next to
the police station. We have reserved
the entire facility for our group. Only
5th graders are invited. Sorry, no siblings. Parents may choose to drop off or
stay. Lifeguards will be on duty. There
will be two water slides, a pavilion, side
yard with games from the PE department, food, and drinks all included. Even
if you don't want to swim, come join us
for other fun, including a slide show!
Thanks to my happy helpers who
worked car line and ticket sales with
me. We had early mornings and muggy
afternoons but those who stepped up
never complained.
An awards ceremony and breakfast
will be held on the last day of school,
Wednesday, June 4th. See invitation for
details.
As always, don't hesitate to contact me
with any questions or suggestions.
[email protected] or 365-9700.
Calling 4th
Grade Parents!
Calling all 4th grade parents! Your child
will be the BIG DOG on campus next
year. Being a 5th grader includes a lot of
activities that requires many different
committees. If you are interested in
being a committee chair or simply assisting, please do not hesitate. Step up.
Shout out. Call, text, or email me. Many
happy helpers make for lighter workload
as well as excited 5th graders. Committees include: yearbook, donations,
award ceremony breakfast, decorations,
T-shirts, year-end social, and goody
bags. These committees have been a
Pasadena tradition for many years. Another Pasadena tradition is including the
students' kindergarten pictures in the
5th grade yearbook. So, pull out a copy
of your child's innocence and be ready
for a fun- filled year! Heather 727-3659700 or [email protected].

Each month, the following PTA volunteers quietly serve Pasadena Fundamental Elementary! Their work makes a
difference and is very appreciated.
Kim Diice—Labels for Education. Kim
tirelessly requests and collects all the
labels from our Pasadena community, so
we can purchase much needed supplies
and equipment. Her efforts do not go
unnoticed!
Erica Geiger—Skating Parties. Erica
meticulously organized Pasadena’s skating parties at Astro Skate this year. She
did a marvelous job promoting the parties, selling tickets, and providing a great
time for the students. Thanks, Erica!
Yve Feinberg, Sue Wall, & Sarah
Wood—Staff Appreciation Lunches. Each
month, Yve, Sue, and Sarah organize
lunch for our amazing Pasadena staff.
They solicit the help from one grade per
month, decorate the teachers’ lounge to
coincide with the theme, and make certain there is enough food for all the
staff. This is something the staff looks
forward to each month and it is appreciated!
