Pencil Hardness Tester
Introduction:
BEVS1301 Pencil Tester complies with the
requirements of ASTM D3363 and I S O 1 5 1 8 4
s t a n d a r d , t h r o u g h l e a v i n g a superficial trace
on the dry coating film with a certain pencil
hardness, the surface will be variably damaged
by the hardest pencil to evaluate pass/fail or
h a r d n e s s . R e c o m m e n d t o apply on the smooth
film surface. Use variety of different hardness
p e n c i l s , th e angle between pencil and the coated
surface is 45°, scratch on the coated surface under
a certain of force, the scratch resistance hardness
of the coating is the pencil hardness which just
scratched the coating.
