To participate online in the October 16th (10am) & 18th (2pm) Northern Nevada English
Learning Initiative (NNELI) informational webinars, you need a connection to the Internet
and the ability to hear sound coming from your computer.
WE SUGGEST THAT YOU PRACTICE THE FOLLOWING LOGIN PROCEDURE IN
ADVANCE OF THE OCTOBER 16TH & 18TH WEBINARS.
If you have not previously participated in a Wimba Live Classroom conference, we highly
recommend that you ensure your computer is configured properly. A Setup Wizard is
available to ensure that your computer is properly configured. Click the following link to run
the Setup Wizard. For this conference you will not need to verify your voice recording
capabilities.

After completing the Setup Wizard click the Finish button and close the window.
If you have difficulties running the Setup Wizard or your computer fails to pass any of the
test, please contact the UNR Help Desk (682-5000) or [email protected] for assistance.
Logon Procedure
START  The location of the login page is: http://tinyurl.com/NNELIWebinarOctober2012
(click on this link or copy and paste it into your Web browser).
NEXT  After determining that your computer is ready for using Live Classroom, click on
the Participant Login button, enter your first and last name in the first “Name” box, and
click on the [Enter] button. (You are not being provided a password for this presentation.)
The Live Classroom page will load and you will see the following.
OVERIVEW OF THE AUDIO BAR (two-thirds down the page)
 To the left of the [Talk] button are three vertical columns that indicate the
“goodness” of your connection. (Three green columns is an indication of an excellent
connection.)
 The [TALK] button will not be enabled for this presentation.
 The Volume Level Meter controls the audio that you receive. The volume of audio is
also controlled by the volume control on your computer.



The right Volume Level Meter controls the audio that you send but, since Talk is not
enabled, this control will not be in effect.
There will not be video provided for this presentation.
Dial-in phone access will not be enabled.
CHAT AREA (bottom left corner of the room) – This is the area where you may participate in
the presentation. If you have a question, enter the text of the question in the box to the
right of the “To: Main Room” and hit the [Enter] key on your computer’s keyboard. (The two
vertical bars || to the right of the text box is a “pause” control, not a enter control.) Your
question will be displayed in the area above the text box. Questions from our online
participants will be repeated to President Glick and he will respond in audio.
We hope your experience in using Live Classroom to participate in a meeting online is a
