Job Description:
The Salina Area Technical College (SATC) President/CEO is responsible for the
attainment of the goals and objectives of the College in accordance with its mission as
set forth by the SATC Board of Trustees. The President/CEO oversees all operations
of the College; routinely interacts with all constituent groups of the College, including
students, faculty, staff, administration, government officials, regulators, the business
community, educational institutions, and media.
Job Duties and
Responsibilities:








Provide direction and leadership to transition the college’s accreditation status
from the Higher Learning Commission
Foster strong relationships to advance the College as a positive contributor to the
Salina community and surrounding region
Promote the College’s visibility locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally
Build and expand partnerships between the College and business and industry
Work closely with business, industry, all secondary, post-secondary public and
private education institutions to further the mission of the College
Manage the development function and play a leadership role in fundraising and
community relations by serving as an ambassador and advocate for the growth of
all aspects of the College
Expand multi-generational alumni participation and an active alumni association in
support of program enrollment, advisory and career advancement for students, and
financial support of the College
Articulate and demonstrate a passion and vision for technical education in both








Generally involves 80% sitting, 10% walking and 10% standing, however some
days may require much more walking and standing

Requires fine dexterity to type, enter data and provide written communications
Use of standard office equipment including computers and general office
equipment
