The voltage shall be 10 – 14 VDC. Disconnect the VOM and reconnect the generator as shown above. 6.0 PERFORMANCE TEST 6.1 Adjust the 210 LEVEL adjust fully clockwise. 6.2 Set the generator frequency to 1000 Hz, minimum amplitude. Set the generator load to un-wtd 600 Ω 6.3 HIGH LEVEL ACTIVATE. Gradually increase the generator amplitude until the 210 output appears, the generator level shall be >325 mVrms. Return the generator amplitude to minimum. 6.4 LOW LEVEL ACTIVATE. Adjust 210 LEVEL fully counterclockwise. Gradually increase the generator amplitude until the output appears, the generator level shall be <35 mVrms. 6.5 GAIN. Increase the generator level to 75 mVrms. The 210 output shall be 75 ±20 mVrms. 6.6 SWITCH ATTENUATION. Adjust the 210 LEVEL fully clockwise. Maintain the generator level at 75 mVrms, the 210 output shall be less than 2.4 mVrms. 6.7 HARMONIC DISTORTION. Increase the generator level to 400 mVrms. Measure the harmonic distortion, it shall be less than 2.5%. 6.8 FREQUENCY RESPONSE. Maintain the generator level at 400 mVrms and vary the generator frequency from 300 – 3000 Hz. The output of the 210 shall not vary more than ±1 dB across the frequency range. 7.0 HEADSET CHECK Set the generator output level at 100 mVrms and adjust the 210 LEVEL until output from the 210 is observed. All units shall be shipped with the activate LEVEL set at 100 mVrms. Disconnect the generator and connect the microphone to the 210 input. Listen to the headphones while counting slowly (2 seconds minimum between counts) from one to ten, all words shall be complete and clear. 8.0 PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS Inspect the Model 210 in accordance with the outline drawing requirements.
