Edison High School PTSA EagleGram PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Serving the Parents, Students and Teachers of Edison High School is a pleasure and I cannot over emphasize that Volunteers are the secret to our success! We are so very proud of our students, for the leadership of the Student Government Association, the success of our student athletes, the success of the 2015 Edison Science Fair Participants as well as the District X Honors Chorus, to name a few. The pride of the Edison faculty and staff is demonstrated throughout our classrooms, beautiful campus and the steadfast leadership of our principal, Mrs. Brumfield. With over 1900 students actively involved in the many student activities, I invite you to participate with other dedicated Parent, Teachers and Students striving to improve and enhance the Edison educational experience. Volunteers Thomas Edison's Birthday Celebration sponsored by the PTSA was a great success. More than 2000 donated cupcakes were enjoyed by students during lunches on February 12, 2015 in honor of Thomas Edison. Thank you to everyone who donated cupcakes, money and their time to this event. Volunteer Fairfax (VF) proudly presents the Youth Advisory Board for 2014-15. The YAB members (12 students from 10 different high schools) will work with VF throughout the school year on special projects and they will blog each month on various topics. February is dedicated to Suicide Awareness and Prevention. Please visit at http://www.yabloggersfairfax.blogspot.com If you are interested in playing a role, either large or small, in your student’s educational experience, we want to hear from you. Additionally, we encourage the e-mail messages informing the PTSA of up-coming events or to make a recommendation. We regularly discuss recommendations at each monthly meeting (3rd Tuesday). To contact your PTSA, please e-mail [email protected].
