Tile Flanges
MTI offers two tile flange options to simplify installation and ensure a
watertight installation between the tub deck and the surrounding wall area:
• Tile Flange Kit
• Integral Tile Flange
Both tile flange options are available on most rectangular and corner tubs.
When adding a tile flange to a tub, please specify the side or sides on
which the tile flange is to be installed.
Tile Flange Kit / Factory-Installed
The Tile Flange Kit includes an ABS tile flange chemically bonded to the
tub at the factory. This not only facilitates installation but also provides a
watertight seal on any sides specified. Available on square, rectangular
and corner tubs, it installs easily with no pre-drilling required.
Tile Flange Kit / Field-Installed
The Tile Flange Kit may also be installed in the field. Please review the
Owner's Manual / Installation Guide in Section D for complete installation

Integral Tile Flange
The integral tile flange is a ~3 ⁄4" acrylic flange molded into the tub at the
factory and is available only in a 3-sided flange for a rectangular tub
and 2-sided flange for a corner tub. The tile flange is designed to screw to
the stud wall and must be pre-drilled at the job site. Backer board will rest
on top of the flange to provide an even surface for the tile.
