Mission Sabbath – We are looking forward to mission Sabbath
on Jan 14. Our special speaker for worship is Barnabas Hope,
writer, speaker and former AFM missionary to Turkey. Bring a
dish if you plan to stay for the afternoon seminar at 2:00pm,
entitled “Grow a World Changer.” Childcare is provided.
Have you been on a mission trip, been a missionary, or grew
up as a missionary kid? Next Sabbath is Mission Sabbath,
please wear a mission t-shirt, or a t-shirt or costume from the
country you served in as a missionary. If you would like to
participate in the closing of the program, meet us in the social
hall next Sabbath at 10:30am to pick up a candle.
The 7th Annual International Food Festival will be on Jan 15
from 12 – 3 pm. This is a FUNdraiser for the church building. We
have 14 booths representing various countries from around the
world. Please invite your family and friends to come hungry to
“eat their way around the world”. All proceeds go to the church
building project.
Counseling Ministry – Call the office for a morning
appointment. The next session is on Jan 15.
Young Adults – Picnic at Riverbend Park on Jan 28.
Gym Night – Next gym night is Jan 28. Fun for the whole family!
Save the Date – Family Life Ministry will be hosting a Super
Bowl Party on Feb 5.
Financial Peace Seminar – The next 9 week seminar will begin
Mar 8. Watch for more details.
MISCELLANEOUS
Congratulations – to Lumin and Shilpa Abraham on the birth of
their baby boy, Jace Titus, born on 12/29/16. 7# 5oz.
Please remember our ongoing fundraisers Cash-for-Trash and
Cash-for-Coins. Everyone can participate and it doesn’t cost
much. Cash-for-Coins is simply collecting your loose change
each night and donating it to the church building fund. This also
includes jewelry, coin collections and other valuables. Bring the
coins to Mary Reppert, coordinator. Since we started the Cashfor-Coins project in 2009, we have raised almost $32,000.00.
