JUNIOR GIANTS TEAM PARENT JOB DESCRIPTION
The team parent works with the coach to help coordinate the programs that extend
beyond baseball. Team parents focus on instilling the Four Bases of Character
Development as well as the programs in Education, Health and Bullying Prevention.
Duties:
 Helping your team follow the Junior Giants Schedule and reinforce each Word of
the Week by reviewing the Coach and Team Parent Game Plan
 Assisting with pre and postgame discussions.
In following the Junior Giants 8 Week Schedule, you will assist with:
• Tracking and passing out the Junior Giants Baseball Cards on a weekly basis.
• Coordinating the Round the Bases Reading Program and distributing weekly
prizes.
• Introducing the Healthy Habits Poster Tracking Sheet and passing out water
bottles to players who earned them.
• Promoting the Four Bases of Character Development and passing out Base
Bands during Confidence, Integrity, Leadership and Teamwork weeks.
• Encouraging players to sign the Strike Out Bullying Pledge and wear their
sweatband.
• Promoting participation in the Strike Out Bullying Contest and passing out the
drawstring backpack prize for those who turned in an entry.
• Tracking players’ participation results in SportsSignup and on the Team
Scorecard in the Coach and Team Parent Game Plan (how-to guide available
from SportsSignup).
