VistaFoundation® 4.x to 4.3 Delta Workshop
Duration: 4 days
The 'VistaFoundation 4.x to 4.3 Delta Workshop' is a fast-track, workshop-style training. This course targets trained and
experienced InfoVista administrators and developers and will enable them to understand and use the various new or
changed features introduced in V 4.3 of the VistaFoundation (VF) architecture. This course focuses on the delta between
versions 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 of VistaFoundation. Concepts covered in our other/previous courses (e.g. VF 4.2
Administration I or VF 4.2 Administration II) will not be repeated unless they have changed.
Student Profile
This is an intensive package destined to update students with the new features and knowledge required to operate and
customize our updated VistaFoundation Architecture (V 4.3). The course targets trained administrators of an InfoVista
solution as well as those developing new reports and KPIs (developers).
This course is also an excellent preparation for any InfoVista Certified Administrator (IVCA) or Developer (IVCD) who
wants to renew his/her certification.

Prerequisites and Related Courses
This workshop is designed for fast-learning, technical profiles who have already been trained on a 4.x version of the
VistaFoundation platform; it is not suitable for beginners. Prior attendance to any of our previous VF 4.x administrator
or developer training courses is a pre-requisite.
Course Objectives
The course is structured around the evolution of the VF platform, from V4.0 thru' V4.3.
 Day 1: Delta 4.0 to 4.1 - Includes CLI polling and discovery, and designing VistaMart multi-formula indicators
 Day 2: Delta 4.1 to 4.2 - Includes provisioning of VIN Services and custom polling with VistaDiscovery
 Day 3: Delta 4.2 to 4.3 - Includes VistaMart data export and design of indicators which incorporate business
calendars and maintenance periods
 Day 4: Vista360 - Covers installation, administration and report design with Vista360.
Students can choose training days according to their needs (e.g. a student trained on V4.2 will choose days 3 and 4).
