ATHERTON, HILTS, WEARNER NAMED GOLF DIGESTS BEST YOUNG TEACHERS IN AMERICA The Colorado PGA was well represented recently when Golf Digest named their Best Young Teachers in America. The annual list identified those teachers, all under age 40, through surveys and discussions with PGA of America leaders and top instructors nationwide as well as their own grassroots research. Making the list for 2012 was Steve Atherton, PGA Instructor at Eagle Springs Golf Club, Andy Hilts, PGA Director of Instruction at GolfTEC Headquarters, and Trent Wearner, PGA Director of Instruction at the Trent Wearner Golf Academy. All three members have been named Colorado PGA Teacher of the Year: Atherton in 2008, Hilts in 2005, and Wearner in 2004.
