A Mother’s Love
No gift on earth is greater,
no treasure held above.
The joy that comes from knowing,
a Mother’s endless love.
In spite of how it’s tested,
it grows from year to year,
providing strength and comfort…
it “gently” draws us near.
It warms and it protects us,
and guides us from afar.
Shedding light upon us,
like a bright and shining star.
And when all things are measured,
not one shall rise above,
or be compared in value,
to a Mother’s endless love!

Volunteer Corner….
By Bernice Middlestead
Greetings to all volunteers.
Again a very big thank you for all you do, all year
long. April is the month that we recognize and
express our thanks at special appreciation events,
but each and every day that you are here, you are
appreciated.
There was a high attendance at the Pastoral
Luncheon and the Appreciation Banquet and I hope
that everyone had a good time.
This year we gave out new “Park Manor Care” pins
to all volunteers who have contributed more than 100
hours. We were surprised and delighted that 72
volunteers had surpassed that number. Names of the
people that are in this exclusive club are listed in the
next column.
Also on the next page is a list of all people that were
recognized with awards or words of thanks.

NEWS FROM
ALL CORNERS…
Hello, Hello, Hello …
From the Adult Day Program
We hope everyone is getting a chance to go
outside to enjoy the nice weather.
We were busy last month exercising our
brains. We learned some things about
money and where some old sayings come
from. Did you know that the expression “to
throw in the towel” comes from boxing
matches? The manager would throw in a
towel or sponge to stop a fight.
We also played some cards, dominoes and
“Wheel of Fortune”.
We tried a new game called “Noodle
Hockey” using pool noodles as hockey
sticks. There was a lot of action and
everyone had a great time. Ring toss was
also a big hit.
Tuesday’s group went out to Smitty’s for
lunch while Thursday’s group went to
Perkins. It’s always nice to go out for good
food and great company.
Here’s hoping the weather cooperates so
we can all get out in our gardens!
