Pablo Picasso Art 1 Pablo Picasso created cubist paintings of musical instruments such as the violin and the guitar. Cubism is when a picture is portrayed as seen from many different angles in very squared or angled shapes. It may even seem like the painting “exploded” into sharp pieces. The background and the object are often treated in the same way, with flat areas of colour. See if you can find the violin or guitar in Picasso’s paintings. How to make your own Picasso – Inspired Collage: 1. Print out the pictures of music notes& piano key board, guitars and violins. 2. Cut the whole page into different angled pieces. 3. Arrange the piano and music notes all around your page. 4. Colour the spaces between the cutouts to resemble more piano keys and music lines. 5. Arrange the guitar and violin and other music instruments around the centre of the page. 6. Add colored shapes and cubist areas to complete the collage. http://www.001galerie.com/images/Violin-and-Guitar-1913.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_j9VUmBswTWg/TTZOLLSwo1I/AAAAAAAAAVg/Y-3OUZ5fSl4/s1600/Pablo-Picasso-Art-PaintingViolin.JPG ©Nadene of http://practicalpages.w ordpress.com 03/2012 Pablo Picasso Art ©Nadene of http://practicalpages.w ordpress.com 2 03/2012 Pablo Picasso Art ©Nadene of http://practicalpages.w ordpress.com 3 03/2012 Pablo Picasso Art ©Nadene of http://practicalpages.w ordpress.com 4 03/2012
