St. Bernard Parish 4-H
Newsletter
“4-H is a community of young people across
America who are learning leadership,
citizenship and life skills.”
Get Involved!!!!!
The best way to discover
what 4-H has to offer is to get
involved. Start off by running
for office. You can be elected as
the President, Vice President,
Secretary, Treasure or one of the
other club officers.
Get involved by promoting
National 4-H Week October 7-13.
Keep up with what is going
on in 4-H by reading and
sharing with your parents the
monthly 4-H Newsletter you
receive at your club meetings.
Attend the monthly club meetings held at your school. Each
month Mr. Wayne and Ms. Lauren
will bring news and information
about 4-H to you at your Club
Meeting.
Participate in parish-wide 4-H
events like the Bicycle Rodeo in
October and the Pet Show in November.
Just remember the 4-H Slogan
is “Learn by Doing”, so do something and get involved.
You will have a great
time!

Officer/Leader Training
Being elected as an officer for your 4-H Club is one of the best ways for you
to become involved in the 4-H Club at your school. When you become an officer
you also accept the responsibility that comes with holding that position.
In order for you to be successful as an officer for your 4-H Club you will
need to attend a training that will teach you the responsibilities of your office.
All officers in St. Bernard Parish will attend a training in Belle Chasse. Transportation will be provided from Chalmette High School on St. Bernard Parish School
