The Bioengineering NLF is an ideal
bioreactor / fermentor to link
research and production. Available
for both mammalian and microbial
processes, the NLF can be operated
as a stand-alone unit or in
conjunction with other fermentors
for parallel runs. Alternatively, it
may be installed in a seed train or
for scale-down experiments that
mimic a commercial production
bioreactor / fermentor. The NLF is
also available in a cGMP design with complete documentation turnover packages for
production of preclinical or clinical materials under FDA / EMEA regulations.
Options include control of temperature, RPM, pH, pO2, level / foam, pressure, pCO2,
feeds, optical density, and much more. The modular control system allows for fast
and easy changes to the process at any point. Gas mix can be done manually or
automatically with the option of thermal mass flow controllers. The NLF can be used
for batch, fed-batch, or continuous culture and a perfusion system is available for
continuous cell culture applications. The NLF is an expansively equipped system with
a space and energy saving mechanical seal or magnetic belt drive, resterilizable
sampling and harvesting valves, and an open-frame skid (optionally on casters), and
much more. Local IFM controllers in conjunction with data logging or a
comprehensive BioSCADA software package allow for expert process
control at your fingertips in a straightforward and intuitive manner.
