Toons Rhyme Time
Follow standard rules for bingo to play Rhyme Time to reinforce rhyming as a phonemic
awareness skill. It is important that you do not use printed word with this game for younger
children who have not developed this skill. The focus should be on listening to the spoken word
or looking at a picture prompt and saying the word.
To play:
Teacher: Find a word that rhymes with tag . . . bag.
Students find a picture (frog) and cover it with a marker.
