Forms of Freedom: Practice with the word family FREE
Directions for the teacher:
STEP 1 – Task A.
 Read the text aloud to the class.
 Ask students to underline all the words in the word family for “free” (freely, freedom,
free, freed).
 Then have students to take turns reading the text aloud with a partner.
 Read the text in chorus as a class.
 Ask volunteers to explain Freida’s words.
STEP 2 – Task B. Complete as a class.

STEP 3 – Task C.
 Have students work alone or in pairs to complete the sentences.

the group should have at least one turn asking and answering a question.
