Fourth Sunday of Easter – page 262
Dear Parishioners,
This Sunday afternoon we welcome Bishop John
Sherrington to administer the Sacrament of Confirmation
to the young people of our parish. Please keep them and
their families in your prayers at this important time.
This Sunday is also a day when we pray for
vocations. Each of us has our own particular vocation,
our own call from God to use the gifts that he has
entrusted to us in order to bring personal fulfilment, and to
make his love visible in our world. We pray that the gifts
of the Holy Spirit, which our young people are to receive
this Sunday, will help each of them to find their path to
fulfilment and peace.
In praying for vocations, we pray especially that
those called by the Lord to priesthood and religious life will
respond with courage and generosity.
May God bless you all,
Fr John Dermody.

Gift Aid declaration on the envelope.

Are you paying less tax? If so, and you have signed one or
more Gift Aid declarations, you need to check that you are still
paying sufficient tax to cover all your donations. Otherwise,
HMRC may ask you to pay the shortfall. Please let us know if
you are no longer able to Gift Aid your offerings to the parish
and we will exclude you from our claim. If you are paying
sufficient tax but have not yet completed a declaration for your

tax paid on your donations. Claims can be backdated by up to
four years.
