Hole
R&A Rules of Golf with Local Rules approved by Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club
and an immovable obstruction, on or within two club-lengths of the
putting green, and within two club-lengths of the ball, intervenes
on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may
take relief. The ball must be lifted and dropped at the nearest point
to where the ball lay that a) is not nearer the hole, b) avoids such
intervention and c) is not in a hazard or on a putting green. The ball
may be cleaned when lifted.
Ground Under Repair - (Rule 25-1b)
Players may take free relief from interference affecting stance or
area of intended swing caused by drainage channels, damage by
green keeping equipment, or areas marked by a continuous white
line.
Penalty for Breach of Local Rule:
Match Play - Loss of Hole; Stroke Play - Two Strokes.

Out of Bounds - (Rule 27-1) A ball is out of bounds when all of it
lies:
1) Beyond any fence, hedge or line of white stakes defining the
boundary of the course.
2) In the Clubhouse surroundings beyond the white posts.
3) On or beyond any white line defining the course boundary. A ball is
OOB when all of it lies on or over such a line.
White OOB posts and fences are not obstructions, and posts must
not be moved.
Water Hazards - (Rule 26)
1) Water Hazards defined by Yellow Stakes or lines.
2) Lateral Water Hazards defined by Red Stakes or lines.
3) On 6th Hole Badgers Set, a ball going into the Hazard is put back
in play by dropping under penalty of one stroke and playing a ball
from the nearest Dropping Zone.
Movable Obstructions - (Rule 24-1)
Stones in bunkers. Red or Yellow Water Hazard stakes. Distance
and Direction Marker Posts.
Immovable Obstructions - (Rule 24-2)
1) If any tree less than one club-length in height interferes with a
player’s stance or the area of their intended swing, the player must
take relief.
2) All roads, paths, telegraph poles, course furniture, constructions,
and sprinkler heads are Immovable Obstructions and a player may
take relief in 1) & 2) above, a player taking relief without penalty,
drops the ball within one club-length of the nearest point of relief,
not nearer the hole.
3) All parts of bridges and constructions within Water and Lateral
Water Hazards are Immovable Obstructions. Players are not
entitled to relief without penalty if the ball lies in the hazard.
4) In addition, if a ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard,
