FRIENDS OF THE NAVY TRAFALGAR DAY GALA TO COMMEMORATE ADMIRAL NELSON’S
FAMOUS VICTORY, OCTOBER 18, 2014 AT HMCS QUEEN REGINA
As a committee member of the Friends of the Navy, it is my pleasure to invite you to be a part of
this special tribute as we celebrate Lord Nelson’s famous naval battle, the Battle of Trafalgar fought
off the coast of Spain on October, 1805.
Your very kind donation will help make this important community event a huge success and ensure
that we achieve our goal to raise funds for the Military Family Resource Centre all of which will stay
in Saskatchewan. Last year we were able to provide our designated charity with a cheque of
$12,000 and would like to continue this tradition in 2014.
The enclosed Sponsorship Package contains information regarding the various levels of support or
if you wish, we can work with you to plan a special category for you or your company. Also, we are
looking for prize donations for our silent auction table. All sponsors and prize donors will be
prominently recognized at the event.
As a Friend of the Navy, I have made it my priority to give back to those who give so much. I
sincerely hope you will join me in saying ‘Thank You’. Also, included in the sponsorship package,
you will note that we are raising funds to offset the cost of dinner tickets for the wonderful young
men and women serving our country. These folks from our province have selflessly put themselves
at risk on the front line for all of us.
