E.E. Cummings may have labeled our present days as “mudluscious” and
“puddlewonderful”. That’s the Northwest! Come June we don our garden gloves, grab our
shovels and begin to sow seeds in our newly constructed, raised-bed gardens.
Outdoor education is not a new concept, but one that has been renewed, giving children an
appreciation for plant systems, nutrition and to spend time outdoors. Students will spend
time learning about the animals that live on a farm, how crops grow and the organisms in
the soil. All will be able “to feel and live in harmony with the Earth”. (Maria Montessori)
Each 3-week session will include our Montessori curriculum and materials along with
songs, games, food preparation and arts and crafts projects.
Summer Sessions:
Session 1:
June 22 – July 10 (closed on Friday July 3)
Session 2:
July 13 – July 31
Session 3:
August 3 – August 21
Academic Programs:
Half-Day (9:00am – 11:50am)
School-Day (9:00am – 3:00pm)
Full-Care (7:15am – 5:45pm)
