What: San Diego Before Statehood ~ Docent lead visit around Presidio Park
“Journey back in time and tread in the footsteps of the padres, soldiers, and settlers who established the first
mission and presidio of Alta California. Through a series of educator led activities, explore a section of
Presidio Park to learn about the plaza, stables, chapel, and commander’s house that lie protected underground
today. Inside the Serra Museum, investigate artifacts that reveal the daily life of the Kumeyaay, the Spanish,
and the Mexican inhabitants of Early California.”

*Cancellation Policy- Failure to show without twenty-four-hour notice will result in loss of fieldtrip privileges. More than
one non-emergency cancellation will result in loss of priority for future fieldtrips.
