Saturday, April 1, 11:00 am
Do you believe in Bigfoot?
This year marks the 50th
Anniversary of the Patterson/Gimlin
film, the most famous Sasquatch
footage to date. Join us for a special
presentation by local cryptozoology
group, “Ohio Night Stalkers”, as
they share the evidence that they
have collected in their quest to prove
the existence of these elusive
creatures. Do you believe?

which can be picked up at the library. Interested
participants can stop in to pick up the next book.
April 4: A Rising Thunder by David Weber
Confronting a new and technologically
powerful enemy after a brutal attack on the
Manticoran home system, Honor Harrington
learns of a Mesan Alignment plot to enslave
the entire human species and prepares for a
defense that places the Star Kingdom at
terrible risk.
May 2: The Last Painting of Sara De Vos
by Dominic Smith
Half a century after reluctantly painting a
forgery of the only surviving work by a
seventeenth-century female Dutch artist, Ellie
Shipley curates an exhibit of female Dutch
painters and risks exposure when both the
original and her forgery arrive.
June 6: Commonwealth by Ann Patchett
One Sunday afternoon in Southern California,
Bert Cousins shows up at Franny Keating’s
christening party uninvited. Before evening
falls, he has kissed Franny’s mother, Beverly,
thus setting in motion the dissolution of their
marriages and the joining of two families.

Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes
The mega-talented creator of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal and executive producer of How to Get Away With
Murder chronicles how saying YES for one year changed her life―and how it can change yours, too. Shonda’s
sister laid down a challenge: just for one year, try to say YES to the unexpected invitations that come your way.
Shonda reluctantly agreed―and the result was nothing short of transformative. In Year of Yes, Shonda Rhimes
chronicles the powerful impact saying Yes had on every aspect of her life―and how we can all change our lives
with one little word. Yes.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
If you think you're too old for Alice in Wonderland, think again. Reread as an adult to regain that childlike
curiosity you had during your first read. Plus, you'll realize just how clever Lewis Carroll's metaphors are. Alice,
modern literature's prototype of the wise child, looks squarely at her lopsided world--with its waist coated White
Rabbit, disappearing Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, Mock Turtle, and other fabulously curious creatures--and
proclaims, "Stuff and nonsense!" For more than 100 years, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the story of one
little girl's commonsensical approach to the absurd, has delighted children and adults the world over.
The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo
Despite constant efforts to declutter your home, do papers still accumulate like snowdrifts and clothes pile up like
a tangled mess of noodles? Japanese cleaning consultant Marie Kondo takes tidying to a whole new level,
promising that if you properly simplify and organize your home once, you’ll never have to do it again. Most
methods advocate a room-by-room or little-by-little approach, which doom you to pick away at your piles of stuff
forever. The KonMari Method, with its revolutionary category-by-category system, leads to lasting results.
Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult
A woman and her husband admitted to a hospital to have a baby requests that their nurse be reassigned - they are
white supremacists and don't want Ruth, who is black, to touch their baby. The hospital complies, but the baby
later goes into cardiac distress when Ruth is on duty. She hesitates before rushing in to perform CPR. When her
indecision ends in tragedy, Ruth finds herself on trial, represented by a white public defender who warns against
bringing race into a courtroom. As the two come to develop a truer understanding of each other's lives, they begin
to doubt the beliefs they each hold most dear.
You’ll Grow Out of It by Jessi Klein
Both a tomboy and a late bloomer, she grew up always feeling like more of an observer than a participant in the
rites of modern femininity. You’ll Grow Out of It is a funny and incisive collection of real life stories in which
Klein explores the milestones of the twenty first century woman: from trying to sculpt the perfect butt (one that
looks like two floating tennis balls), to attempting to find watchable porn (the kind where no one cries), and
deconstructing Oprah's obsession with taking baths (there's no place on dry land where women are left alone.)
Throughout the journey, Klein's voice is both hilariously relatable and raw.
The Rainbow Comes and Goes by Anderson Cooper
A charming and intimate collection of correspondence between #1 New York Times bestselling author Anderson
Cooper and his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt that offers timeless wisdom and a revealing glimpse into their lives.
Anderson Cooper’s intensely busy career as a journalist for CNN and CBS’ 60 Minutes affords him little time to
spend with his ninety-one year old mother. After she briefly fell ill, he and Gloria began a conversation through email unlike any they had ever had before—a correspondence of surprising honesty and depth in which they
discussed their lives, the things that matter to them, and what they still want to learn about each other.
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
Like many others, around the time Elizabeth Gilbert turned 30, she went through an early-onslaught midlife
crisis. Although she had everything an educated, ambitious American woman was supposed to want, including a
husband, a home, and a successful career as a magazine writer, she was consumed with panic, grief, and
confusion. This is an account of her yearlong worldwide pursuit of pleasure, spiritual devotion, guidance, and
what she really wanted out of life.
A Book of American Martyrs by Joyce Carol Oates
Luther Dunphy is an ardent Evangelical who envisions himself as acting out God’s will when he assassinates an
abortion provider in his small Ohio town, while Augustus Voorhees, the idealistic doctor who is killed, leaves
behind a wife and children scarred and embittered by grief. In her moving, insightful portrait, Joyce Carol Oates
fully inhabits the perspectives of two interwoven families whose destinies are defined by their warring
convictions and squarely—but with great empathy—confronts an intractable, abiding rift in American society.
Devil in Spring by Lisa Kleypas
Most debutantes dream of finding a husband. Lady Pandora Ravenel has different plans. The ambitious young
beauty would much rather stay at home and plot out her new board game business than take part in the London
Season. But one night at a glittering society ball, she’s ensnared in a scandal with a wickedly handsome stranger.
After years of evading marital traps with ease, Gabriel, Lord St. Vincent, has finally been caught by a rebellious
girl who couldn’t be less suitable. In fact, she wants nothing to do with him. But Gabriel finds the high-spirited
Pandora irresistible.
The Confession by Charles Todd
Todd’s troubled investigator wrestles with a startling and dangerous case that reaches far into the past when a
false confession from a man who is not who he claims to be leads to a brutal murder. The Confession is a mustread for every fan of Elizabeth George, Martha Grimes, P.D. James, Ruth Rendell, and Jacqueline Winspear, as
post-war London’s best detective finds himself ensnared in a dark and deadly investigation that unearths
shocking small town secrets dating back more than a century.
Faithless by Karin Slaughter
The victim was buried alive in the Georgia woods—then killed in a horrifying fashion. When Sara Linton and
Jeffrey Tolliver stumble upon the body, both become consumed with finding out who killed the pretty,
impeccably dressed young woman. And for Sara and Jeffrey, a harrowing journey begins, one that will test their
own turbulent relationship and draw dozens of lives into the case. Lena Adams is one of them. A Grant County
detective for years, she has her own reasons for being drawn to this case and a fierce drive to see justice done.
The Shattered Tree by Charles Todd
At the foot of a tree shattered by shelling and gunfire, stretcher-bearers find an exhausted officer, shivering with
cold and a loss of blood from several wounds. The soldier is brought to battlefield nurse Bess Crawford’s aid
station, where she stabilizes him and treats his injuries before he is sent to a rear hospital. But in a moment of
anger and stress, he shouts at Bess in German. When Bess reports the incident to Matron, her superior offers a
ready explanation. The soldier is from the tenuous border between France and Germany. So which side of the
war do his sympathies really lay?
Family Tree by Susan Wiggs
Love. Success. A handsome husband, a beautiful home. These are the things Annie Rush can call her own.
These are the foundations of her charmed life in Los Angeles. But in an instant, that life is shattered. And as
Annie sifts through the ashes, she must face the shock and pain of a devastating loss. Grieving and wounded,
she retreats to her family home in Switchback, Vermont, a maple farm generations old. There, surrounded by
her free-spirited brother, their divorced mother, and four young nieces and nephews, Annie slowly emerges into
a world she left behind years ago.
