Be sure to use vocabulary from APHUG Unit 1 (see table above). Acrostic Poem On a piece of paper or in a Google Document, write a concept or term from this topic that you struggle with vertically on the page. Use the letter from the term as the first letter in a word or phrase related to that topic in order to create a poem. Cartoon Strip Create a six-pane cartoon strip about a concept in this unit. It should contain at least 3 vocabulary words related to the concept. Haiku Pick a concept that you do not know well from this topic. Read up on the topic. Create a Haiku poem for this topic. Haikus are written as three lines. The first is 5 syllables, the second 7 syllables, and the third 5 syllables. Your Haiku should clearly demonstrate your mastery of the topic. Limerick Select 2-3 APHUG vocabulary words (Unit 1 specific). Write a limerick. Rhyming and the format of a limerick (along with use of terms in the correct context) will be strictly adhered to. PictoWord Pick a concept or vocabulary term from this unit that you struggle with and study it. Then, create a pictoword using that concept. A pictoword is where you take a word and create a picture out of the word that demonstrates the meaning of the word. Example: Song/Poem/Rap Create a song, poem, or rap about this topic using at least 5 vocabulary terms. The song, poem, or rap should use the terms correctly and fully describe the topic. 1.
