What is the School Sports Program?
Located at the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre, the
Hall of Champions pays tribute to the outstanding
achievements of sportsmen and women who are
counted amongst the nation’s best. The museum
celebrates famous names, great moments and
inspired performances of 333 athletes representing
49 sports.
The School Sports Program introduces students How much does it cost?
to sports and facilities they would not normally
have access to. Programs are held at either the $14.75 per student. Teachers free!

are sourced from each sport’s state body.

Programs will not be cancelled due to wet weather
as all sports (except Hockey) are played indoors.

Sports Halls
School Sports Program Information
•Sports Centre Program: students participate in two sports, one of which is Gymnastics and the other is chosen from Floorball,
Futsal, Handball, Hockey and Volleyball. The program runs for 2 hours.
•Sports Halls Program: students participate in four sports chosen from Badminton, Futsal, Floorball, Handball, Table Tennis and
Volleyball. The program runs for 3 hours from 9.30am - 12.30pm.
•Lunch:students can eat their lunch on the grassed area at the front of the Sports Centre or in the park across the road from
the Sports Halls.
• NSW Hall of Champions: located at the Sports Centre, the NSW Hall of Champions is the state’s premier sporting hall of fame.
The display of photos and memorabilia provides an insight into one of Australia’s favourite obsessions - sport.
Floorball: An indoor team sport, sometimes called Floor Hockey,
with limited physical contact allowed - played with plastic
sticks and balls.
Futsal: Also known as Indoor Soccer.
Handball: A fast-paced Olympic team sport also known as
European Handball. Two teams of seven players try to throw
the ball into the goal of the opposing team.
Gymnastics: An introduction to gymnastics.
