About Bindlestiff Studio:
Originally opened in 1989, Bindlestiff Studio is the oldest black box theater in San Francisco’s
South of Market District. Bindlestiff has since distinguished itself as the only permanent,
community-based performing arts venue in the nation dedicated to showcasing emerging
Pilipino/Pilipino-American artists. Bindlestiff Studio provides the often under-served SoMa
community affordable access to diverse offerings: theatrical productions; music and film
festivals; workshops in acting, writing, directing, producing, stand-up comedy, and
movement/dance; as well as a youth theater program.
About LIKHA Pilipino Folk Ensemble:
LIKHA-Pilipino Folk Ensemble's mission is to preserve Philippine folk arts and culture and to
foster education in dance and music in the community. LIKHA is based in San Francisco,
California and has served the community since 1992 -- founded by Rudi C. Soriano, former
dance soloist with Bayanihan Philippine Dance Company.
