What makes a Great Science Fair display? This is an example of a neat and organized Science fair display. Depending on your information and amount of pictures you may have a different layout, just make sure that your display follows your process from top to bottom and left to right. Topics that need to be included on your display board are: 1. Title- what is the name of your project also include your name under that title so that it is easy to see. 2. Purpose- The reason for your project, what was your initial question, what you wanted to find out. 3. Hypothesis-A prediction of the results before you conducted your experiment. 4. Materials- A list of supplies needed to conduct your experiment. 5. Procedure- The step you took to complete your experiment. Your “recipe” if someone else were to conduct your experiment. 6. Results- Graphs or charts showing what happened after you conducted your experiment. 7. Conclusion and Application- Tell what happened. Did it work? Was your hypothesis supported? What did you learn? Then how can this relate to the world around you. 8. Pictures- The more pictures the better! 9. You will also have with your display your science journal or written report or both. It won’t be on your display but it will be on the table so that the judges may see it. Other topics that you may want to include on your display. A report- a brief summary on your research. Resources- a list of the books, websites you used for your research. Variables- Break down the different variables from your experiment. A few tips to make your display stand out. Keep things neat and clean. Use a computer to type out your information, if you don’t have access to a computer use your best handwriting. If you are using a computer make sure that the font is easily read, and don’t use more than 2 type faces. Mount white paper or graphs onto colored paper. Make sure that the colored paper is larger so that it creates a frame for your white paper. Keep it simple and easy to read.
