Dear Colleagues,
Together with my colleagues (Hilde De Reuse, Institut Pasteur Paris – Francis Mégraud, CHU Bordeaux - Martine Denis, Anses
Ploufragan - Michel Federighi, ONIRIS Nantes, Henriette De Walk and Dieter Van Cauteren - Santé Publique France), and on
behalf of the French Society of Microbiology, it is a real pleasure for me to organize, in 2017, the next CHRO Conference, in
France. This will be then the very first time this important meeting will be organized in France. We invite you to discover the
western part of the country: the Atlantic Ocean coast where Nantes is situated, in the mouth of the Loire river, at 2 hours by
train from Paris.
Nantes is an attractive city for international congresses, and you will discover the hospitality and the friendly atmosphere of
the destination.
For the next CHRO, we will make every effort to welcome you and the rest of the participants in the very same spirit. An international scientific committee will work to the scientific programme. Under a traditional shape (plenary and parallels sessions),
other topics can be approached and workshops could be organized before or after the Conference. Posters will be exhibited in
the main hall with coffee breaks surrounding them; part of this hall will be dedicated to the partner exhibitors. This hall is large
enough to consider displaying all the posters for the duration of the Conference.
Promoting the event to partners is very important for us. We propose to organize social and cultural activities in the typical
French style such as wine and cheese party for instance; however we will not forget the organization of the traditional soccer
game; besides Nantes is quite famous in soccer and its team has been 8 times Champion of France.
So, it is really a great pleasure to host this prestigious conference.
After Rotorua in 2015, we sincerely invite you to take part to the next CHRO 2017 in France.

A Historic city
Nantes, former capital of the independent dukedom of
Bri any, became united with France through the marriage of Anne de Bretagne with the French king Louis XII
in 1466.
The Edict of Nantes in 1598
In order to end 36 years of civil wars between Catholics and Protestants, Henri IV signed the famous Edict of
Nantes in the Breton capital. This text gave freedom of
conscience to the Protestants and guaranteed their civil
and poli cal rights.

The International Workshop on Campylobacter, Helicobacter
and Related Organisms is organized more than 35 years.
This international congress takes place over time and is now
in its nineteenth edition. This conference is ideally suited
for all professionals studying Campylobacter, Helicobacter
and related organisms, including professors and researchers
from universities, government, and industry, public health
epidemiologists, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students,
veterinarians, and physicians.
