Conveying with ease Heavy-duty support system Rolling replaces sliding friction Energy-efficient rolling principle Heavy loads are hard to shift. But every rule has an exception. One example is denirug which allows pallets or crates to be pushed over the rollers with just one hand. In driven versions, the motor no longer has to perform at maximum capacity. As a result, energy consumption decreases considerably. To convey large-sized unit goods, even in straight sections extremely powerful drives are required. Resistance from sliding friction needs to be overcome which in turn puts substantial strain on the traction and sup- port elements. denirug heavy-duty support system replaces sliding by rolling friction, reducing wear and tear as well as energy consumption. Several rotating rollers with no pin transfer the load to the support, which they roll off, moving the unloaded rollers over the cage. The very strong rollers and their small distance to one another make the system very robust. Uncomplicated denirug is modular, so that a roller rug of any length or width can be produced. The 300 mm or 500 mm roller bearings are ready to fit. As basic elements, they are simply placed behind and/or beside one another on a level base and fixed in the required position. They are easy to integrate into existing conveyors. Ready-to-use modules The ready-to-use denirug modules with their integrated basic components are practical to combine in vir tually any way. They come in 800 mm and 1200 mm lengths, both with and without side guidance plates. As a result, closed surfaces can be achieved that can be walked on. The denirug heavy-duty support system • cuts kinetic friction • therefore reducing energy consumption by up to 90% • minimises wear and tear • decreases the number of drives and transfer points • enables reliable operation of the conveyor and makes maintenance unnecessary • allows faster conveying speeds • keeps the inclination angle in heavy-duty conveyors very low • is low in height • can be combined to make conveyor rugs of virtually any size • is ideal for enhancing conventional heavy-duty conveyors • makes efficient processes possible • keeps investment costs low 2 Heavy-duty support system Rolling principle saves energy Fully tested The results of a trial at the Technical University of Chemnitz in Germany are irrefutable. denirug reduces the friction coefficient μ by around 90%. Numerous long-term trials have also indicated that, depending on the application, up to 90% of the energy required for power transmission can be saved and the wear and tear on the traction element reduced accordingly. The denirug principle Similarly to linear guidance systems, denirug heavy-duty support systems operate with axlefree continuous rollers. Because the rollers are very strong and the pitch between them small, the extremely smooth-running system can withstand very heavy loads. Additional components denirug conveyors are easy to fit with additional components, making handling pallets, trays, skids and containers simpler. Feed ramp The ramp allows accurate in-feed of products along the conveyor. The varnished, sheet-steel feed ramp can be placed on the right and left and is screwed onto the base. Stopper plate and discharger This components are optionally available for purchase and are connected with the feed ramp. The purpose of the stopper plate is to provide a stop and the discharger arranges the goods in the best possible way. without denirug FR µ = 0,2 – 0,3 with denirug µ = 0,03 – 0,04 FR An experimental setup at TU Chemnitz produced clear results: Using a denirug heavy-duty support system reduces the friction coefficient μ by around 90 %. Rocker Thanks to new and innovative technology, denirug modules are quick and easy to adjust and affix and drilled to the floor. Efficient processes denirug provides full and direct support of heavy loads. Slider beds and runners that otherwise have to bear modular belt and standard belt conveyors are therefore not required. Consequently, new, more efficient processes for heavy-duty applications are feasible. denirug can replace stacker trucks and therefore eliminate problems and hazards. 3 Roll on efficient processes DG_leaflet_4320EN_12_12 Basic denirug elements Basic denirug elements are roller bearings ready to fit that users can combine to make rolling supports in virtually any length and width. denirug basic elements are available in 300 mm and 500 mm lengths. Integration into existing conveyors is easy. Basic denirug elements are used to support modular belts instead of runners, wooden pallets etc. As a result, rolling friction saves at least 90% of the drive power and smaller motors can be used. denirug modules denirug modules are ready-for-use modular belt sections with integrated basic denirug elements. By using a rocker, users can combine them very easily to produce smooth-running sections of conveyor in almost any length and width. denirug modules are available in 800 mm and 1200 mm lengths. They can have guide rails at the sides. Other additional components are also available. Available as a single component, the rocker is required for assembly and for fast and easy compensation of uneven sections.
