This will be the first stakeholder event held by Herefordshire Council’s new Children’s Wellbeing Directorate. Director Jo Davidson and Assistant Director Chris Baird will host the session, which will offer providers and community groups from a range of sectors and localities a great opportunity to explore the future of children’s wellbeing in Herefordshire. In these challenging financial times, the role of the public sector is changing dramatically and this event is the starting point for working with stakeholders to explore the challenges and opportunities these changes present to communities, businesses, voluntary organisations and service users. We are particularly keen to explore how to enable organisations in the leisure, culture, health and community sectors to diversify and partner with current providers in order to deliver a broad range of services and activities across Herefordshire. The event will: Give an overview of the commissioning principles and priorities of the new directorate Look at options for how we can do things differently in the future Include guest speakers Present a great opportunity to meet and network with local businesses, community groups, business support organisations and Herefordshire Council officers. Give attendees the opportunity to shape future sessions Please share this event with colleagues and look out for #CWHfds on Twitter. Numbers are limited and we anticipate a significant amount of interest so secure a place early at https://childrenswellbeing.eventbrite.co.uk/ Children’s Wellbeing: The Hall, Kindle Centre, Hereford The Future in Herefordshire Friday 15th November, 9.30am-12.30pm
