Part Two: Write a Monologue
A Monologue is a speech that gives details or information about an incident in a person’s life. Alternately,
your monologue might be a reflection of the important details of your individual’s life. Your monologue will
focus on:
1. Main achievement of person. What is their greatest achievement/
accomplishment? What stands out about it? Why does it matter?
(This is where your opinion should shine through)
2. Influences today. Do we still know about the person? How? Why? Do their accomplishments
affect our actions today?
3. Background information of your person. Did they face difficulties? How did they become
successful?
Other information:
 Present your monologue as if you were the historical person.
 Your monologue must be at least one complete minute of speaking to receive any credit.
