June, July & August activities for Community & SMART programs
Committee members, Littles, Bigs & their immediate families
Some transportation restrictions apply to SMART program participants
Tickets will be provided for “Littles” & High School Bigs who wish to attend Lakemont & the Curve !

1. June Family Picnic at Canoe Creek State Park Pavilion #2
Thursday, June 15th, 2017 12:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
Directions: Travel on US 22 to the small village of Canoe Creek (seven miles east of Hollidaysburg), turn
north on the Turkey Valley Road for 1/2 mile to Canoe Creek State Park.

2:00 Hike with Heidi, 3:30 Snack, 5:45-6:15 Covered dish dinner
Bring a covered dish & we will provide place settings, drinks and hot dogs, etc.

2. July Fun Day at Lakemont Park & the Island Waterpark Pavilion # 4
Thursday, July 13th, 2017 the park is open 11 am to 8 pm
Picnic at 5:30pm
Bring a covered dish & we will provide place settings, drinks, and hot dogs, etc.
$5.95 admission includes, ride & slide all day, plus enjoy
Miniature Golf for only $1.00 per round!
The agency will cover the admission for Littles who attend.

3. July Family Picnic at Trough Creek State Park Pavilion #5
Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 1:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
Directions: off PA 26 at Entriken, turn on to 994, 5.2 miles turn left on Little Valley Road

4. August Big Brothers Big Sisters Annual Day at the Curve
Sunday, August 13th, 2016 Gates Open at 5:00pm
Game Starts at 6:00pm, Kids can play catch on the field at 5:00pm
Enjoy a fireworks show and kids running the bases after the game!
A limited number of t-shirts (first come first serve) will be printed for the occasion.
Tickets are $3.00 (due to support from Operation Our town)
The agency will cover the ticket cost for Littles who attend.
High School Bigs cannot transport littles.
Littles with siblings who wish to attend must have a Parent or Guardian provide
transportation & have a parent or guardian remain on site with their youth.
