North Surrey Secondary Class Historian

North Surrey Secondary Class Historian
At the Commencement Ceremony the Historian’s speech tells the history of the class from grade 8 to
grade 12. The history includes all the important political and historical events from around the world,
particularly Canada and fun social activities in which the class has participated in at North Surrey over
the past the last five years.
In order to be able to tell the social history, the Historian must be a student who has been involved in
school activities for five years and who has commitment to the school and to the graduation class.
Students may be nominated by a friend, a teacher or may nominate themselves. If they are interested
in being considered for this opportunity they must complete the application on the next page.
A committee of teachers will review all the applications, confirm student involvement in activities
throughout high school and present the graduating class with a short list of names from which student
will endorse their Historian.
Applications are due Thursday, May 28, 2015
