Group 1 will also carefully look at each word to see the words that a -s suffix can be added, and circle the suffix in the VCE words. Group 2 will also look for rhyming words for at least 4 of the word list words and mark the newly created words with the above markings. Group 3 will also write down their observations of the VCE, Closed Syllable, and Multisyllabic Markings (What are their characteristics? Why is it marked this way?) in a short answer response. ***STUDY FOR SPELLING TEST TOMORROW*** 1. Each Group will use the books from their book baggies or Myon for the following: 2. Each Group will apply the VCE, VCE Exception, Closed Syllables, Syllable, and Suffix Markings. Group 1 will find at least 5 words with the VCE pattern from their reading books and then they will apply the above markings. Group 2 will find at least 6 words with the VCE pattern from their reading books, and then they will apply the above markings. Then they will use them to write a short answer response about their prediction for what will happen in the story next. Group 3 will find at least 7 words with the VCE pattern from their reading books, and then they will apply the above markings. Then they will use those words to create a short story. Homework is not optional and must be completed each night.
