1. Participate in the Mother’s Day Classic
Join almost 70,000 people across Australia as they run or
walk for breast cancer research!

3. Fundraising
Ask your friends, family and colleagues to fundraise your run
or walk for either a set total or a certain amount per kilometre.
You can do this by setting up your own fundraising page when
you register online, by downloading a fundraising form from
www.mothersdayclassic.org or by calling: (08) 9244 5200.

the attached registration form. Mother’s Day Classic events
are held in capital cities across the country, as well as in a
number of regional areas – see the website for details.
2. Enter a team
You can walk or run as part of a team. Your team might be
a group of friends, or a school, corporate or community
group. To enter, appoint a team coordinator, and ask all team
members to state the team name when they register. There
are great prizes to be won – see the Prize Section for more
information. To be eligible for a prize, team entries must be
received by Friday 8 May 2009.
4. Buy merchandise from the Mother’s Day Classic
exclusive range
You can order great event merchandise (caps, t-shirts,
socks and more) using the registration form or online at
www.mothersdayclassic.org. Detailed information and
pictures of the merchandise are available on the website. You
can also buy merchandise on the day (subject to availability).
All profits from the sale of these items go to breast
cancer research.
5. Make a donation
You can support breast cancer research by making a
donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, whether
you participate in the Mother’s Day Classic or not. You can

67,000 participants nationwide and raised $1.2 million
for its beneficiary, the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The total raised by the event for breast cancer research

MOTHER’S DAY CLASSIC MERCHANDISE
The Mother’s Day Classic started in Melbourne and
Sydney in 1998, and has now grown to include events
in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Gold Coast, Geelong,
Hobart, Parramatta and Perth. In 2009, we are delighted
to see the involvement of more than 20 regional
locations across Australia.

The Mother’s Day Classic – a national walk or run that
