Built in 2011 in Japan, she is one of the latest ships to join WWL’s fleet where she is deployed around the world to transport cars, trucks, rolling equipment (such as excavators, bulldozers and harvesters) and breakbulk cargo. Despite her gigantic size, the Parsifal is actually 15-20% more energy efficient per transported unit compared to her predecessors due to her optimised hull shape and other energy saving features like the streamlined rudder design and duck tail which make her one of the most environmentally friendly ships in operation today. In addition, electricity will be produced from the exhaust heat on board thanks to an advanced turbo generator which has been installed in the engine room. el without ca Total weight of vess A NCHO R W E I G HT There are 2 anchors, each weigh 9.2 tonnes RAM P S T RENGT H MA IN PROPEL L ER SIZ E WHEN ALL DECKS ARE USED TO THE FULL Approx. capacity on suitable car decks 100 elephants Flexibility has been key in the design of the ship: the Parsifal has three hoistable decks, a main deck height of 7.1 metres and cargo can even be loaded on the weather deck via a ramp from the deck below. This means that WWL can allocate space around the ship according to the size and shape of customers’ cargo and thus optimise space on board.
