We would like to share this photo of them at the Great Wall of China. Did you know Ms. Maloney’s World History classes are currently building a great wall themselves? As a visual aid and hands on activity Ms. Maloney’s classes have been adding layers to the Great Wall to emulate the amount of time and hard work it took to construct such an elaborate form of defense. FACTS: The Great Wall of China is the longest man-made structure in the world. During its construction, the Great Wall was called “the longest cemetery on earth” because so many people died building it. Reportedly, it cost the lives of more than one million people.
