Tom and Lauren Pepin are currently visiting China. We would like to
share this photo of them at the Great Wall of China.
Did you know Ms. Maloney’s World History classes are currently
building a great wall themselves? As a visual aid and hands on activity
Ms. Maloney’s classes have been adding layers to the Great Wall to
emulate the amount of time and hard work it took to construct such an
elaborate form of defense.
FACTS: The Great Wall of China is the longest man-made structure in
the world. During its construction, the Great Wall was called “the
longest cemetery on earth” because so many people died building it.
Reportedly, it cost the lives of more than one million people.

likelihood of obesity persisting into adult years
One quarter of U.S. children spend 4 hours or more watching

The Silver Slippers Club was created by
Mrs. Morelli with the intention of providing our
young middle school ladies with the tools to become
wonderful community humanitarians. They will be
visiting nursing homes, and completing community
service projects for St Jude’s Children’s hospital.
On March 31st, the Silver Slippers hosted a tea party
and welcomed the teachers and staff of
Pepin Academies to enjoy sweets and tea.
The Silver Slippers were extremely thoughtful and
showed proper hostess etiquette; they are off to a
wonderful start!
Please turn in donations to Nurse McCurdy by
April 19th.
Thank you for your support!
