Manager’s Corner for Wymberly
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! It is
hard to believe it is December once again.
As we get into the colder weather of the year, I would like to
pass along some tips on how to keep water pipes from freezing. For the residents who have the washer hook ups in
their utility building (shed):
* Keep a light bulb lit next to the pipes
* Wrap your pipes with pipe insulation
I am also recommending the installation of heat tape, which
is wrapped around the exposed water line. Heat tape can be
purchased at your local home improvement center and it can
be installed fairly easily. The cost for the heat tape is
around $30.00.
If you have any questions or need instruction on how to
install, please contact the office.
Happy Holidays to all!
Until next year,
Larry Jordan

President’s Corner for Social Club
The 2nd Arts, Crafts, and Bake Sale are over and it was a success from
all points. I would like to thank the Vendors for their participation, all
those donating baked goods and all the volunteers for setup, breakdown and cleaning up the clubhouse. The Social Club made around $750.00 for this endeavor. We
will give a final tally at the General Membership Meeting. Dale and I have been
busy working on the Insurance and we think you will like the results. Chicko will
be posting for the Christmas dinner and the first 120 who pay their share will be
able to attend. I think the charge will be $12.00 a head. There will be NO GUESTS
at this meal. It will be catered and you will not have to provide anything.
The last General Membership Meeting will take place on Thursday, Dec. 10,
at 6:00 p.m. Please mark your Calendar and note the TIME change. This was done
to keep peace in the family. This meeting is very important and affects all
members, so please attend.
Keep check on the Bulletin Board for information on the New Year’s Eve
Party, Jackie Meggs is heading up this event.
This will be my last meeting as your President and maybe my last newsletter, but
I would like to thank all members for working with me this year and a special
thanks to my Board. As always, please check on your friends and neighbors.

From The Christmas Craft
Fair Committee
We want to thank all of you who participated in this event. We could not do it,
without you and your support. Weather
was good, and all the advertising made
for a very good turnout for all.
Thank you again.
The Christmas and Craft Fair
Chairman
From the Bake Sale Committee
We would like to thank you for your
donations and support. God's love
shines through you, and a million,
zillion thank you's are not enough. Our
bake sale committee could not do it
without your help and support. "We
were so very touched by your thoughtfulness" and montary gifts.
Thank you, thank you.

Coffee Gathering
9:30 Wednesday
December 9th
CWC Luncheon
All residents are invited to attend our
monthly Community Coffee Gathering
held at our Wymberly clubhouse at
9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December
9th.
The Augusta Christian Women's
Connection will meet for our monthly
luncheon 11:00 a.m. on Dec. 5th at our
Wymberly clubhouse. Please note the
change from our usual Wednesday to
Saturday due to the Christmas
holiday's.
Our theme will be "The
Greatest Gift."
Our speaker and singer will be an
associate professor, Sauni Rhinehart,
who will help us celebrate Christmas in
her story "The Greatest Gift."
A
younger speaker, Sauni projects joy,
peace and hope in an energetic presentation. She is currently in the process of
relocating from California to East
Tennessee.
Guests may bring unwrapped gifts
for our annual "When Help Can't Wait"
donations which will be placed in
cartons to be distributed by WHCW
volunteers to local nursing
homes. Items include toiletries, greeting cards, stationary, pens, puzzle
books, movies, cassette tapes, CD's,
slippers, stockings, facial tissues, ball
caps, and wrapped cookie/cracker
snacks.
ACWC is a wonderful opportunity
to connect with other women. Please
note that reservations are earlier for our
Christmas luncheon.
We will enjoy coffee, tea, goodies and
some good conversation. Our monthly
gathering is a wonderful opportunity
to meet our new residents and visit
with the "regulars." Thanks goes to
those who contribute their time, goodies, monetary gifts, and their conversation to make this event possible.

Golf News
Finally, the rains have diminished, the sun came out, and the golf
course dried out just enough to allow
people to play some golf, although we
were still not able to drive carts on the
course.
We did compete under our Lauderdale
Rules on Saturday (Nov. 14th). The
closest to the pin honors went to
Teresa Robinson on Hole #3 and to
Ron Noland on Hole #7.
A hotly contested golf match found the
winning team of Teresa Robinson,
Ron Noland and Wayne Mele coming
out on top with a score of 43 points.
The not too distant second place
position went to the team of Chico
Dowling, Dale Reedstrom, and Paul
Wilkinson scoring 38 points.
It is such a pleasure to be outside and
active before the cold weather sets in.
We invite all the Wymberly golfers to
take advantage of this weather and
join us in league play every Tuesday
and Saturday... starting time is 10:00
a.m.
Your new Golf Commissioners,
Wayne Mele & Dale Reedstrom
