Your Support Keeps These Trips Completely Free For the Veterans
Honor Flight South Florida Incorporated is a non-profit organization that operates under the IRS 501(c)(3) rules for non-profit
organizations, and was created solely to honor South Florida’s Veterans for all their sacrifices. We transport true American
Heroes, our Veterans, to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials.
Time is of the essence. Time to express our thanks to these brave men and women is running out and we need your help.
The cost to conduct an average Honor Flight South Florida trip out of Fort Lauderdale is approximately $100,000. This is the
approximate cost associated with transporting veterans to Washington D.C., including round trip airfare, rental of deluxe motor
coaches, police escort throughout the day in D.C., meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner, tee-shirts, hats and “goodie” bags
for the Veterans and Guardians. The guardians pay their own way. All corporate and private donations cover these associated
costs. Honor Flight South Florida is proud to say we are 100% All-Volunteer. Every dime we collect goes to flying a Veteran to
see the Memorials built in their honor, and the trip is completely free to the Veteran.
Our top priorities are World War II Veterans and Veterans with a terminal illnesses. Most of these remaining senior Veterans
will never see the WWII Memorial without the help of compassionate people like yourself and your company. Many of our WWII
Veterans had previously given up all hope of ever seeing the memorial built in their honor and to honor the ultimate sacrifice of
their comrades, who never came back home.
The time to act is now. Unfortunately, approximately 800 World War II Veterans pass away each day Sadly, in a few years almost
all of our WWII Veterans will be gone. This trip will probably be their “last hurrah,” the last time they will be recognized as heroes
and conquering victors that collectively and literally saved the world.
