The LoFric single use urinary
catheter is intended for intermittent urinary catheterisation.
Sterilisation and shelf life
Connector has different colours
depending on the diameter of
the catheter.
All catheters are sterilised by
ethylene oxide gas. Information
about the recommended best
before date is printed on the
package.
Hydrophilic surface coating:
Polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) and
sodium chloride (NaCI).
Catheter: Polyolefin-based elastomer, POBE (Nelaton). Polyvinyl
chloride, PVC (Tiemann).
Item package: Lacquered paper,
laminated film of polypropylene
(PP) and polyethylene (PE).
Package
Nelaton: 30 catheters per carton
and 4 cartons per shipping box.
Tiemann: 25 catheters per carton
and 4 cartons per shipping box.

1. Wash your hands thoroughly.

end and fill with water (at home
from4the cold tap, in hospital
sterile water or saline).

of the pack to reveal the self5 patch and attach the
adhesive
pack to a dry surface.

5. Remove the catheter from the
packet.

6. Carry out the catheterisation
procedure as instructed. Dispose
of the catheter sensibly after use.

4. Soak the catheter for at least 30
seconds whilst preparing yourself
for catheterisation.
