Welcome to the 37th annual Land of the Loon Ethnic Arts & Crafts
Festival! This two-day event, held the third full weekend in June,
celebrates the culture and customs of the diverse people who settled
in Northeastern Minnesota. Festivities begin with a 9:00 a.m. Saturday
morning parade in downtown Virginia. Then the activities shift north
to beautiful Olcott Park where you can sample delicious ethnic foods,
listen to colorful music from countries around the world, browse the
hundreds of art and craft booths, and celebrate the weekend-long
family entertainment hosted by Iron Range volunteers.
Check out the variety of Land of the Loon Festival Souvenirs
including tye-dyed t-shirts, denim shirts, shot glasses, temporary
tattoos, sweatshirts, hats, key chains, postcards, beach towels, pins,
etc. that are available for purchase at our Souvenir Booth, located near
booth 1S in the southeast corner of the park. They make great gifts!
And one more thing … no pets allowed due to city ordinance.
This Festival would not be possible without the help of our very
dedicated volunteers and YOU! The festival plays an important part in
promoting our community and provides added benefits to the City of
Virginia and surrounding communities. We hope you enjoy this year’s
Festival!
