essential part of the celebration of life. They herald
the birth of babies, are used to enhance the venues

Flower arrangements are widely and effectively used in
the decoration of office reception suites, hotels
and restaurants, shop window displays and at

Entrance requirements
No entrance requirements are necessary, but we strongly
recommend that learners have English language skills in reading
and writing equivalent to Grade 10 (Std 8).
Course Duration
It should take you approximately 6 months to complete
the course.
Course Content
• The basic essentials of flower arranging and the tools.
• The how-to of cutting and preparing flowers.
• Containers that may be used.
• Step-by-step arrangement of flowers.
• The use of colour in both dried and fresh flowers.
• How to use flowers to create atmosphere or add to the
interior design of a room.

church events and private entertaining.

Course Outcomes
The artistic skill of arranging flowers is a popular and rewarding
hobby and can very easily lead to many opportunities to earn
extra income or become a fully fledged career.
Assessment
You are required to complete 7 formative assessments.
Award
After you have successfully completed the course, you will
receive an INTEC Certificate in Flower Arranging.
