Technical requirements
Mugar is a group of ten musicians, all playing acoustic instruments.
Stage arrangement : musicians seated around
small round tables or seated on platforms.
Stage
Minimal size : 10 m x 8 m. (33 x 26 feet)
The stage arrangement must allow the seated musicians to be seen.
To be provided :
• ten wooden chairs, standard height
• three small round tables, standard height
• four 2 m x 1 m (79 x 39 inches) platforms
• one spotlight to warm the percussion skins to be located on the floor at prompt
side.
• a staircase at downstage to allow three musician to go down into the audience
at the end of the show
Sound check
After system equalisation and platforms, chairs, tables, microphones, speakers,
stands and cables have been setup, ONE HOUR AND A HALF MINIMUM for
instrument and voices sound check.

A bass amp for the gumbri : AMPEG or
TRACE-ELLIOT, 300 W mini.
Mixing desk
The 24 input mixing desk, should feature 8 VCA, 8 subgroups, 4-band channel
equalisation (preferably parametric, but with a minimum of two sweepable bands), 8
aux sends, and lighting. Preferred model : PM 3500 Yamaha or Vienna 2 Soundcraft.
The desk should be centrally located in the auditorium and not in a closed sound
booth or under a balcony.

Equalization
31-band equalizers are required for house left & right and also for each separate
monitor send.
FOH
A high quality, four bands, preferably hung, stereo PA system suitable for the venue
is required, sufficient in size to provide good coverage to all parts of the auditorium.
Compact, active-controlled systemps are preferred. In case of wide stage opening,
a center cluster is required. Recommanded systems : ADAMSON, EAW, NEXO, LAcoustics (ARC). The system should be ready two hours before sound check.
Monitors
Ten identical monitor speakers (NEXO PS10, L-Acoustics MTD 112). These speaker shall be on four aux send. Each mix must have a 1/3 octave equalizer.
In an auditorium of more than 500 seats and in open-air, please provide:
• 24/8 monitor mixing desk
• monitor engineer familiar with acoustic instruments
• ten identical monitor speakers (NEXO PS10, L-Acoustics MTD 112)
• two side-fill 1kW
• ten amplification channels
• ten 31-band equalizers situated near the monitor mixing desk

Minimum power : 40 kW in auditoriums under 500 seats, 60 kW above. Console with
two scene operation. Three or four main cues. No follow spot. Back lighting (PAR)
and laterals (PC, FRESNEL), front lighting (PC) at 50% of maximum brightness.
• Two dressing rooms for a total of twelve people.
• Catering on arrival : cold meats (no pork please), raw vegetables, cheese, fruit,
mineral water, sparkling water, beer, two bottles of good red wine.
• Hot evening meal for twelve.
• Accomodation : twelve individual rooms.
• Appendix 1 : stage plan and miking diagram.
