Sunday, May 5, 2013 WELCOME 3rd Annual Grundy Center Track & Field Day - 5K Walk/Run ~ A Tribute to Coach Mc ~ Concessions Registration Tent o Register for Track & Field Events § Born in 2003 or 2004 = 9 & 10 Year Old Division (4x100 is not included as a running event) § Born in 2001 or 2002 = 11 & 12 Year Old Division (4x100 is not included as a running event) § Born in 1999 or 2000 = 13 & 14 Year Old Division First Aid Station – go to Tent and Cindy Bonorden will be contacted Schedule of Events (Starting at 4:00pm) Field Events (4:00pm) o Softball Throw* (ages 9-14) o Standing Long Jump* (ages 9-14) Track Events (4:30pm estimated) o 50 Meter dash* (ages 9 &10) o Fun Event 40 yard dash (ages 6-8) o 100 meter dash* (ages 9-14) o Fun Event 100 yard dash (ages 7-8) Fun Events (2 to age 8) *** Will be split by individual age groups – Do Not need to register*** o 20 yard dash (ages 2-5) o Crab race (ages 2-8) o Wheel Barrow Race (find a partner) (ages 2-14) o 3 Legged Sack Race (find a partner) (ages 2-14) o Shoe Kick (ages 2-14) Awards Ceremony – Field Events, 50/100 Meter Dash (if finals are not needed in age group) Track Events o 200 meter dash* (ages 9-14) o 400 meter dash* (ages 9-12) Finals 50/100/200 meter dash (depending on # of participants/schedule/times will determine if finals are warranted) Track Events o 800 meter run* (ages 11-14) o 1600 meter run* (ages 13&14) o 4x100 meter Relay* (ages 9-14) (find a team of 4) Final Awards Ceremony (50/100 finals if warranted, 200,400, 800, 1600, 4x100) Any Way Relay (NEW THIS YEAR) Teams meet @ west end zone to register for race o $40 per team (all donations go to the Hershey's Track & Field Event in Honor of Coach Mc) o 1600 Meter relay o Teams can be made up from 1 to 8 members o Each individual leg of the relay can be split up in to whatever distance you decide, but the total finishing distance run by your team MUST equal 1600 meters o Team members may run more than one time within the Relay o Team members may be any age Join the fun, get a relay team, and run in honor of Coach Mc.
